SECTION-3 :  Hazards Identification
Emergency Overview: The bacteria is not generally considered to be hazardous to humans or the environment. Toxicity is untested but is expected to be low via ingestion, skin contact or inhalation.
Possible Routes of Entry: Inhalation, open wounds, eyes
Health Hazards: Nuisance dust, contains peat
Carcinogenity: None known
Effects of Exposure: Inhalation over long periods of high amounts of any nuisance dust may overload lung clearance mechanism, irritate mucous membrane and make lungs more vulnerable to respiratory disease.
Chronic Long term exposure to dusts can cause respiratory irritation and coughing. An
allergic reaction is possible with asthmatics.
SECTION-4 :  First Aid Measures:
By-products               : None
Polymerization           : Will not occur
Inhalation                    : none (recommend particle respirator)
Ingestion                     : Induce vomiting. Repeat until vomit is clear.
Skin                            : If irritation occurs, wash with water and mild detergent
Eye                             : Immediately flush eyes with clean water for 15 minutes.
                                      Call a physician.
Keep open wounds covered and clean as suggested by any good program of hygiene.

SECTION-5:  Fire fighting Measures:
None. Caution, burning may continue inside bags or piles after surface fire is out. Break bags or separate pile to assure that the fire is extinguished. The thermal decomposition products are those commonly observed with natural products such as wood or other vegetable matter.

SECTION-6 : Accidental Release Measures:
Steps to be Taken in Case Material is Released or Spilled: Use methods to clean spill which avoid creating airborne dust. Remove for disposal or incorporation into soils or garden.

SECTION-7 :  Handling and Storage
Waste Disposal Method:
Waste of this product is not defined as hazardous. Dispose of all waste in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.
Precautions to be Taken in Handling and Storing:
If excessive dust in created, avoid breathing dust by using adequate ventilation and/or NIOSH or MSHA approved respirator for nuisance dust of this type. Breathing dust may be harmful to your health.
Other Precautions:
Protective eye wear should be worn where dust levels are high enough to cause irritation.
Avoid inhalation of ash particulates. Wash any contamination from skin or eyes immediately. Wash hands and exposed skin before eating, drinking, smoking or using thetoilet.
Storage:
Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place in original container – preferably in a refrigerator
in which no food is stored. Keep container closed when not in use.
SECTION-8 :  Exposure Controls / Personal Protection
General: Protective clothing should be selected according to the conditions likely to be encountered in the workplace. Ensure good ventilation. No exposure limits have been established.
Engineering Controls: Use process enclosures, local exhaust ventilation, or other engineering controls to reduce airborne exposure at locations/operations where spray mist may be generated.

Respirator      : Highly recommended. If none available, must use dust/mist filtering mask.
Eyes/Face     : Wear chemical safety goggles or safety glasses with side shields.
Hands/Skin    : Wear a suitable hand gloves.  Product is not an irritant, but gloves are a
sensible precaution when handling any bacterial product.
Other clothing: Wear suitable protective clothing such as long-sleeved shirt, pants, and
  shoes with socks.
Hygienic practices: Merely as a common-sense precaution, wash hands and exposed
skin before eating, drinking, smoking or using the toilet.

Conditions to avoid                                       : Extreme Temperature can make microbes die
Materials to avoid                                         : Strong Acid or Strong Base
Hazardous decomposition products           : None known
Hazardous polymerization                           : Will not occur

SECTION-11 :  Toxicological Information
Toxicological studies have not been conducted.

SECTION-12 :  Ecological Information
Ecological Information: Not expected to impose any environmental risk. These bacteria are already present (and in large numbers) on all vegetation (including crops), and in most soils.
Ecotoxicity Information: Has not been tested. Not expected to present any risk.

SECTION-13 :  Disposal Considerations
Disposal: If spilled material cannot be disposed of by intended use, an acceptable method of disposal is to pour down the drain – in accordance with local, regional and national environmental regulations.
